Answers for the OLYBEE hive.
Quick answers to the questions job seekers and employers ask us most. If you don’t see your question here, you can always reach out to the hive.
What is OLYBEE Marketplace?
OLYBEE Marketplace is the jobs and gigs side of OLYBEE — a curated space where remote workers, creators, operators and forward-thinking teams meet to work together. Employers can post roles, and job seekers can explore and apply for opportunities across different categories and work styles (remote, hybrid and on-site).
Do I need an account to use the marketplace?
You can browse open roles without an account. To apply for jobs, save roles, or post and manage listings as an employer, you’ll need to create a free OLYBEE Marketplace account.
Is OLYBEE a recruitment agency?
No. OLYBEE Marketplace is a platform. We connect people and companies, provide tools and visibility, and share playbooks — but we are not a recruitment agency or employer of record. Any contracts, payments and working relationships are between the employer/client and the talent.
Which regions or countries does OLYBEE support?
OLYBEE Marketplace is global by default. Many roles are remote-friendly, though some listings may specify preferred locations or time zones. Always check the job description for any location requirements before applying.
How do I apply for a job on OLYBEE Marketplace?
When you see a role that fits you:
- Open the listing and review the details carefully.
- Click the apply button or follow the instructions in the job post.
- Complete any application fields required by the employer.
Some roles redirect you to an external site or form — in those cases, your application is managed directly by the employer there.
Do I pay anything to apply or get hired?
No. Job seekers do not pay OLYBEE to browse or apply for roles on the marketplace. If anyone asks you to pay a fee to access a job, process an application or “unlock” a role, treat that as a red flag and contact us.
Will I always hear back after I apply for a job?
We encourage employers to respond and communicate clearly, but we can’t guarantee a reply from every company. Some hiring teams only contact shortlisted candidates. If a role looks abandoned, feel free to move on and keep exploring other opportunities.
Can OLYBEE review my CV or portfolio for me?
We don’t currently offer one-to-one CV review services inside the marketplace. However, OLYBEE News regularly publishes guides and examples on positioning, portfolios and modern job search tactics. You can start with the gigs & jobs section.
How do I post a job on OLYBEE Marketplace?
To post a role:
- Go to the Job Dashboard.
- Create or log into your employer account.
- Click “Post a job” and fill in the role details.
- Choose a free listing or a paid promotion package if available.
Once submitted and approved (where moderation applies), your role will appear in marketplace search.
What’s the difference between a free listing and a promoted job?
Free listings give you basic visibility in search results. Promoted or featured jobs use paid packages to:
- push your role higher in relevant searches,
- highlight it visually in the feed, and/or
- include it in special placements or campaigns.
Current options and pricing live on the Job Packages page.
Can I edit or close a job after posting it?
Yes. From your Job Dashboard you can:
- edit job details (title, description, requirements, etc.);
- change the job status (for example, filled or closed);
- duplicate a listing to reuse a structure for similar roles.
Some changes to promoted jobs may be limited while a campaign is live, depending on the package selected.
Can I get a refund on a job package or promotion?
In general, once a paid package or promotion has gone live, it’s considered delivered and is not refundable, unless required by law or explicitly stated otherwise in the package terms.
If you believe there’s been a billing error, reach out at hive@olybee.com with your details and we’ll review the situation.
How does OLYBEE handle scams or fake jobs?
We monitor for obvious spam, abuse and violations of our Terms, and we may remove listings or restrict accounts that break the rules. However, no platform can catch every bad actor.
If you see something suspicious — roles asking for upfront payments, requests for crypto, unusual verification fees — please report it and avoid sending money or sensitive documents.
What are some red flags I should watch for?
Common warning signs include:
- Requests for money to apply, secure or “process” a job.
- Very high pay for very little work with no clear details.
- Pressuring you to move conversations off reputable channels too quickly.
- Requests for banking passwords, card PINs, or government ID scans without a clear reason.
If something doesn’t feel right, listen to that instinct and check in with us.
Does OLYBEE guarantee I’ll get a job or hire someone?
No. OLYBEE provides visibility, tools and guidance, but we can’t promise a specific outcome. Hiring decisions are made by employers, and job offers depend on many factors beyond the platform.
