The rules of the OLYBEE hive.

1. Who we are & scope

OLYBEE (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a digital brand focused on technology, productivity and smarter work systems. OLYBEE operates:

• OLYBEE.com – content, guides, tools, newsletters and resources; and
• OLYBEE Marketplace – the jobs and gigs platform located at mrkt.olybee.com.

These Terms apply to all visitors, job seekers, employers, clients, partners and any other users of our sites and services.

Additional terms or policies may apply to specific products or campaigns. If there is a conflict, those specific terms will usually apply to that product or feature.

2. Eligibility & accounts

To use OLYBEE Marketplace as a job seeker or employer you must:

• be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction);
• have the legal capacity to enter into contracts; and
• use the services in compliance with applicable laws where you operate or hire.

Some features (for example, posting jobs or managing applications) may require an account. You are responsible for:

• providing accurate and up-to-date information;
• keeping your login details secure; and
• all activity that occurs under your account.

If we reasonably believe an account is being misused, is fake, or is associated with harmful activity, we may limit or close it in line with Section 11 below.

3. Using OLYBEE & the marketplace

You may use our sites to read content, explore tools, search for or apply to roles, post jobs, purchase job packages and engage with the OLYBEE ecosystem, subject to these Terms.

You agree that you will not:

• use the services for unlawful, misleading or fraudulent purposes;
• harvest, scrape or copy large amounts of data or listings without permission;
• circumvent security features or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems;
• impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with a company; or
• upload or share content that is abusive, hateful, discriminatory or otherwise harmful.

We reserve the right to modify, pause or discontinue any part of the sites or marketplace for maintenance, improvements or other reasons.

4. Job seeker terms

As a job seeker, candidate, freelancer or creator using OLYBEE Marketplace, you agree that:

• You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of your profile, applications and any supporting information you provide to employers or clients.
• Submitting an application does not guarantee a response, interview or job offer.
• Any contracts, compensation, working conditions and legal rights are primarily between you and the employer / client, not OLYBEE.
• You will carry out your own due diligence on roles and organisations, including verifying legitimacy and suitability before accepting work.

We may highlight certain roles or provide guidance content, but this should not be taken as a guarantee, endorsement or recommendation of a particular employer, role or rate.

5. Employer & client terms

Employers, clients, agencies and brands (“employers”) using OLYBEE Marketplace agree to the following:

• You will only post roles that are genuine, legal and accurately described.
• You will clearly indicate where a role is remote, hybrid or on-site, expected time commitment, and any key requirements.
• You are responsible for verifying candidates, conducting interviews, running background checks (if required) and complying with employment, contractor and labour laws in the relevant jurisdictions.
• You will not request candidates to pay for job access, application processing, equipment deposits or similar schemes through the marketplace.
• You will respect candidate data and use it only for legitimate hiring purposes.

OLYBEE does not become a party to any employment, contractor, freelance or services agreement between you and a candidate. You are solely responsible for payments, tax compliance, benefits and legal obligations relating to any engagement.

6. Payments, packages & billing

OLYBEE Marketplace currently operates a mixed model: some features are free, while others are paid upgrades.

• Free features may include browsing jobs, standard job postings (where offered), basic profile creation and access to some resources.
• Paid features may include job promotion, featured listings, highlighted placements, bundled packages or sponsorship inventory.

Pricing, inclusions and durations for each paid package are shown at or before checkout. Unless stated otherwise:

• prices are shown in the specified currency on the payment page;
• payments are processed via third-party providers (such as Stripe or WooCommerce), and we do not store full card details on our own servers; and
• packages are generally non-refundable once the listing or promotion has gone live, except where required by law or explicitly stated otherwise.

If you believe there is a billing error, please contact us promptly at hive@olybee.com. We will review reasonable disputes, but we are not obliged to issue refunds where services have already been delivered in line with the package description.

7. Content, intellectual property & licence

Unless otherwise indicated, all content on OLYBEE.com and OLYBEE Marketplace – including text, graphics, branding, logos, tutorials and layouts – is owned by OLYBEE or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You agree that you will not:

• copy, reproduce or redistribute substantial parts of the site or marketplace without our prior written consent;
• modify, reverse engineer or create derivative works from our services or code; or
• use our branding, trademarks or visual identity in a way that suggests endorsement without written permission.

When you submit or post content (including job listings, profile information, descriptions, messages or attachments) you grant OLYBEE a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, reproduce, adapt, publish and display that content for the purposes of operating, improving and promoting the marketplace and related services.

You are responsible for ensuring that the content you submit does not infringe the rights of others. We may edit or remove content that breaches these Terms or appears inappropriate.

8. Safety, scams & acceptable use

We care about keeping the hive high-trust, but the internet is not risk-free. While we take steps to reduce obvious spam or harmful listings, we cannot guarantee that every role or user is vetted or legitimate.

In particular, you agree that you will not use the marketplace to:

• run scams, fake “investment” opportunities or multi-level marketing schemes;
• request upfront payments, deposits or sensitive financial details from candidates;
• post roles that are primarily adult, violent, hateful, discriminatory or illegal;
• harass, threaten or abuse other users; or
• upload viruses, malware or other harmful code.

If you see a suspicious listing or interaction, please report it to us via the contact page or email. We may investigate and, where appropriate, remove content, block users or take other reasonable action.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Our sites and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we aim for clarity, uptime and usefulness, we do not guarantee that:

• the sites will be uninterrupted, error-free or free from security issues;
• every listing, employer or candidate is genuine, accurate or suitable for you; or
• you will obtain specific results (such as a job offer, hire or business outcome).

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OLYBEE and its team will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or opportunity arising out of or related to your use of the sites or marketplace.

Where our liability cannot be excluded entirely, it will be limited to the amount you have paid us (if any) for the relevant paid service in the 3 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Privacy & data

How we collect, use and protect personal data is described in our Privacy Policy . By using OLYBEE.com or OLYBEE Marketplace, you acknowledge that your data will be handled in line with that policy.

Employers agree to use candidate information in a lawful, respectful way and not to resell or misuse personal data obtained via the marketplace.

11. Suspension & termination

We may, at our reasonable discretion, suspend or terminate access to some or all of the services (including accounts or listings) if we believe that:

• these Terms have been breached;
• your activity presents a risk to other users, to OLYBEE or to our infrastructure; or
• we are required to do so by law, regulation or a competent authority.

Where appropriate, we will attempt to provide notice, but we are not obliged to offer notice or an explanation in every case, especially where doing so may create risk. Termination will not affect any payment obligations already incurred.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, pricing, laws or operational needs. When we make material changes, we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page and may take additional steps to alert you (for example, via a notice on the site).

Your continued use of OLYBEE.com or OLYBEE Marketplace after changes are published indicates that you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec, Canada, and applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Where local law allows, any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Montréal, Québec.
